About Social Bridge USA

Social Bridge USA is a community-focused social welfare organization established in 2022 to support newcomers and immigrant families settling permanently in the United States.

Our primary focus is on South Asian immigrant communities, particularly newcomers from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and neighboring countries. We work as a facilitator by connecting individuals and families with information, community organizations, service providers, and other available resources.

Our programs address employment and career support, housing and accommodation, children’s education, healthcare resources, community integration, cultural activities, senior support, disability assistance, family services, transportation information, and access to eligible government and community programs.

Social Bridge USA works with full-time staff, part-time personnel, volunteers, community leaders, and cultural activists to help newcomers become informed, independent, and engaged members of their communities.

Position Overview

Social Bridge USA is seeking a responsible, compassionate, and highly organized Immigrant Services & Resource Coordinator.

The selected candidate will assist newcomers and immigrant families in identifying appropriate resources and services. The coordinator will also maintain relationships with community organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, healthcare providers, employment resources, and other service providers.

This position is particularly suitable for someone who enjoys working directly with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and has strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and communicate with newcomers to understand their immediate settlement and community-support needs.
  • Provide information and referrals regarding employment, housing, education, healthcare, transportation, and other community resources.
  • Assist clients in locating appropriate government and nonprofit programs for which they may be eligible.
  • Maintain an updated directory of community organizations, public agencies, schools, healthcare facilities, employment resources, and social-service providers.
  • Coordinate newcomer orientation sessions, informational workshops, and community-resource programs.
  • Develop relationships with local nonprofit organizations, schools, community centers, government offices, and service providers.
  • Provide appropriate referrals for senior citizens and individuals requiring disability-related support.
  • Assist with employment-readiness programs, job-resource information, and educational opportunities.
  • Maintain confidential and organized records of inquiries, referrals, follow-ups, and program participation.
  • Prepare monthly activity and community-engagement reports for management.
  • Coordinate with Social Bridge USA staff members and volunteers on community programs and special projects.
  • Perform other related responsibilities assigned by management.

Qualification Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Science, Public Administration, Education, Communications, Human Services, or a related discipline. Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant professional or community-service experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and community-relations abilities.
  • Experience working with immigrant or culturally diverse communities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, inquiries, and community programs.
  • Familiarity with common community, educational, employment, and social-service resources.
  • Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, virtual meeting platforms, and social media.
  • Ability to communicate in one or more South Asian languages is highly desirable.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $48,000–$56,000 per year, depending on education, qualifications, and relevant experience.
