About Social Bridge USA

Social Bridge USA is a social welfare and community-support organization established in 2022 to assist newcomers and immigrant families in the United States, with a particular focus on South Asian communities, including people from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and neighboring countries.

Our activities help newcomers successfully settle into their communities by providing information, guidance, referrals, and connections to appropriate resources. Areas of support include employment opportunities, housing and accommodation, children’s education, community integration, cultural activities, family and marriage consultation, senior support, disability assistance, and access to available government and community resources.

Social Bridge USA works with volunteers, community activists, part-time personnel, and full-time staff to strengthen community connections and help newcomers become informed and active members of society.

Position Overview

Social Bridge USA is seeking a motivated and community-oriented Community Support & Outreach Coordinator to assist with our growing community programs.

The selected candidate will communicate directly with community members, identify their needs, provide appropriate information and referrals, coordinate with community organizations and service providers, and assist Social Bridge USA in organizing outreach programs and community events.

The position requires strong communication skills, cultural awareness, organizational ability, and a genuine interest in serving diverse immigrant communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with newly arrived immigrants and families to identify their immediate needs.
  • Provide information and referrals relating to employment, housing, education, healthcare, transportation, and other community resources.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, nonprofit organizations, service providers, and local businesses.
  • Assist newcomers with understanding available public and community services.
  • Coordinate community outreach activities, workshops, informational sessions, and public events.
  • Maintain appropriate records of community inquiries, referrals, participation, and follow-up activities.
  • Assist senior citizens and individuals with disabilities in identifying appropriate support resources.
  • Support employment-readiness and community-integration initiatives.
  • Work with Social Bridge USA volunteers and staff in planning community programs.
  • Assist management with reports and evaluations concerning community engagement activities.
  • Perform other community-support responsibilities assigned by management.

Qualification Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Social Work, Education, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field. Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in community services, social services, public outreach, education, nonprofit activities, or a related area.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple community activities.
  • Basic proficiency with computers, email, online communication platforms, and social media.
  • Knowledge of South Asian languages and cultures is considered an advantage.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $42,000–$50,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
